April 22, 2016 09:56 AM

CaptureFour teams participated in the first ever Litter Blitz competition. The teams spread out around Metro campus to collect as much trash as they could in one hour.

From STEAM teacher Chuck Tonelli, "A big thank you to the staff and students that helped make today’s Litter Blitz a success. Thank you to student coordinator Madi Price for organizing our event and sorting the 140 pounds of litter collected. The winning class, Mary V’s 4th period, brought in a record breaking 57.5 pounds of trash. Congratulations to all the teams and Happy Earth Day!"
