National Parks Trip 2016

smokyMetro students spent two weeks touring the East Coast. They visited Mammoth Cave National Park, Great Smoky Mountains National Park, Shenandoah National Park, Washington D.C., New York City, Cape Cod National Seashore, Boston, and Niagara Falls. While touring science, history and government were the focus of learning. Metro teachers Chuck Tonelli and Shannon Ellis coordinated the trip. Students shared their learning at a Reception and Expo on Friday, June 24th in the Metro Library. CBS Channel 2 covered the event. Students commented the highlight of the trip was the nations's capital, and visiting the Senate.
