The African American Museum of Iowa collaborated with Metro Art students in a door art project celebrating black history and shared across social media in February. From the Museum, "We decided to partner with Cedar Rapids Metro High School to decorate our doors during March both as a way to celebrate Women's History Month and as a reminder that black history month should be celebrated and taught year-round". Art teacher Liz, students and the Museum staff discussed the basics of the project then each student designed a personalized poster. The posters have been at the museum on display for the month. Check out the art and student smiles on these posts from African American Museum of Iowa's Facebook Page.
