At the end of the 2017-18 school year Metro staff were asked to meet in the art room for an activity. Directions were somewhat vague: choose a square and decorate it any way you wish. Staff chose one of 32 pre-drawn squares measuring 1' x 2'. With an art room full of fantastic materials: paints, markers, yarns, scrapbook paper, ephemera, glitter, leather, fabric, feathers and more the individual squares became masterpieces. Art teacher Liz and Industrial Tech teacher Matt S. formed the individual squares into a single mural now hanging in Metro's main entrance. Chuck and Shannon helped hang the 8 x 8' final product. It is impressive to see and more impressive how the pieces all fit together so well.
