Metro High School adopted PBIS in 2010. PBIS is Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports. PBIS at Metro focuses on creating a consistent and positive space for students and staff.

PBIS challenges staff to

  • teach and model positive behaviors in all areas of the school
  • reinforce students for appropriate behavior
  • use clear and consistent consequences for inappropriate behavior

At Metro we continue our focus on CR2:

Each school year students spend time in their Advisor/Advisee meetings receiving instruction on what caring, respect, and responsibility looks like at Metro and the outside campus area.  The lesson plans and short videos that support our expectations are also taught in Orientation classes for new students enrolling at Metro.

Metro students earn CR2 tickets for positive behavior. The CR2 store is in the library, students can purchase items such as headphones, granola bars and water bottles.
